How did he arrive at 1 1/8" being the ideal thickness, why not thicker or thinner? Thanks0

Nice.Has anybody had any luck adapting a rear sway bar to a stepdown.?0

I arrived at that diameter, 1-1/8", after a discussion with ADDCO, based on the weight and width of the cars and experience. A stock bar, 3/4", was sent to ADDCO{by Daniel Lydon} to get all dimensions. angles and holes correct.
A MO was sent for 15 bars to be made and shipped out to those requesting a bar, the first specifically manufactured for the front of a step-down.
Dale Cooper, 513-821-6200, is now handling this project. Get one: enjoy a Hudson Sports Car !!!!
Yes, you will want to 'sling' it into the curves just to thrill yourself !!!!!!! And, perhaps to 'show-off' to someone following too close behind~~~~~

ADDCO has a lot of experience in this technology. I used their products when I was building campers and customs Vans back in the 80's. They made a rear sway bar for E series Ford vans. Made them drive like they should have.0
