Here's a dumb question re brake cylinder removal

I've used Shopmate who are connected with Aust Post for a couple of years without any problems but they are probably not the cheapest option. There is however full tracking and notifications along the way which can be frustrating when you see it sitting in Sydney for 2 weeks.0

Actually Rockauto postage is quite reasonable; I need to pay two because the wheel cylinders and master cylinder come from two different locations which is a pain.I did look into ShopMate and there was no saving to be gained in shipping there because to merge consignments you need to sign up to their plan which is around $4 per month (reasonable I suppose) but they want 12 months up front.0

On another note ; the springs that hold the shoes etc. together. Does anyone sell those as a package at all; mine are , as you can imagine, worse than useless0

Geoff C., N.Z. said:Paul, alternative is to re-line you own cylinder with stainless steel. NOS ones seem to come up regualrly on ebay.GeoffGeoff,Interesting way of approaching it but as a proper novice in these things something that is beyond me. There are many times I wish I could do basic engineering work0

And another thing .. I just went to my cart to order the bits and the prices for the two front cylinders have doubled! When I checked yesterday my total bill came to around £120 ($171) including taxes and today it's shot up by £30 ($220)!I've sent Rockauto an email to see what the difference is; at that price I'm now not able to commit to the spend .....0

@Paul. I've always found Rockauto international shipping to be reasonable. Presumably their volume of parcels enables them to for down prices with the freight/mail companies. The retail freight/mail prices that individuals pay are 3 to 4 times those of a volume user.@Paul. Springs for 10" drums should not be too hard to find on here - might be time to start another topic though. :-/@Ken. There are negative comments to be found online about any business, do enough volume and sooner or later you will upset people. GM, Ford, eBay, PayPal, Fedex, DHL, UPS, USPS, Royal Mail, Australia Post, shipito etc etc, the list is endless, none are immune. That said, I've found always found freight/mail services between US/UK/Oz to be ultra reliable.0
