So where are the Doc toys?

I found (2) so far. Both times there was ony one Hudson among 5-10 each of the others. One series also has Doc in the racing garb, I would love to find that one.
The Disney store has a pull back talking Doc also.
I figure they must have produced less Hudson toys...

The big box stores sell what kids want. The wife says try a Disney store at a local mall or check online. They have talking Hudsons, Hudson pillows, etc.0
-
They're gone because we bought them all!0
-
No Jon you are wrong. A friend of mine works at Wally world. She told me that when the cars toys come in there is usually only 1 or 2 Hudson pieces in an entire shipment. She works in the toy dept and knows of my interest in hudson things so she keeps an eye out for anything of the sort. Maybe they are retailing them out the back door of the manufacturer! I don't know but the lack of DOC HUDSON is very evident at any store I have been to.

Have you guys been good? If so, ask Santa to bring you some Hudson goodies.0

My grandkids sent me a "Doc Hudson" from Australia, so they must be around.

No wonder there's a shortage, you've bought it all! Why don't you hang the PEZ dispensors or smaller items on the tree?0 - Disney Store "Doc Hudson" Beanie

Actually, it's merely the continuation by the big three to try and convince the world that racing Hudsons never existed. Daimler-Chrysler is working on changing the marque from "Hudson" Hornet to "Chrysler" Hornet (witness the American Muscle BodyShop 1/64th scale Rydel High 1959 model - say's right on the box '51 Chrylser Hornet!!!)
I rest my case.

You guys must be right as I got quite few things on my own and from friends before and when the movie came out, and haven't got or seen anything myself since. There was a ton of stuff yesterday for everything but Doc. Especially the rusty tow truck, cute but not Doc.0
-
The key to finding the Doc Hudson toys is to find out when they are restocking. I did and got three of the Fabulous Hudson Hornet diecast models (1:55 scale). I found mostly Luigi's and police cars. I ran into some ladies who said they ran into a guy who was solely looking for Hornets! I have a feeling there are a bunch of closet Hudson nuts. May be we can get them to come out of the closet and join the HET club. The diecast cars are selling for $3.50 in the stores and on ebay for $10.00 - $35.00. Talk about a markup!0
-
I haven't seen any die cast of Doc yet, but I have seen every other car in the movie, even those that didn't have a very big part.0
-
I hit a Disney store today and they had a couple of little stuffed Docs. Picked up one of those to add to the collection for 6 bucks. Got to grab whatever I can.0
-
Why can't I find a Fabulous Hudson Hornet...0
-
Maybe a Disney store can order it. It looks really cool. A buddy of mine at work was at a Toys R Us last night and told me that he saw a little remote control car race track with Lightning McQueen and Doc. May have to go check that out.0
-
Just picked up a little race track at Toys R Us with Lightning and Doc. 29 bucks, had to add it to the collection. Also picked up a Belly Washers fruit drink with a Doc on the lid and a little Doc with a lolly pop inside. Never heard of those but had to add them to the collection too.0

Maybe you should contact your old pal, Glenn Johnson. :rolleyes:0 -
keep checking wal-mart or toys-r-us. They will pop up.0

Most of what I have found, has been at a small BP gas station near here. I have:
2, DOC diecast from Wal-mart
A rubber wristband with DOC on it. from the BP
A rubber Keychain with Doc on it From the BP
A Doc HUDSON jigsaw puzzle, A gift from my son
2 Rubber balls with a picture of DOC inside, from the BP
2 Belly washer sipper caps from the fruit juice. From Wal-Mart
An Embroidered DOC baseball cap From the BP
6 Light Up DOC HUDSON ink pens from Wal-Mart
2 Plastic Doc cars with suckers inside, from the Dollar Tree store
2 Flashing DOC shaped Keychains from Wal-Mart
A DOC Wall hanging another gift from my son
I only collect the DOC HUDSON things. I have seen the slot car sets but did not buy one, and have given away some items to friends.
The toys are out there but sometimes it takes a bit of luck to find them.
As I said before, My friend, who works at Wal-Mart, told me that when they get in shipments of CARS items there is rarely more than one or two DOC items.

There are heaps of Doc Hudsons coming up on N.Z.'s Trade-Me site. Check www.trademe.co.nz Do a search for "Hudson",

BJ you got a lot of stuff I haven't seen or heard of. My last purchase was the slot car kit with McQueen and Doc.0
-
As you can see from my previous post, I got a lot of stuff from the BP station down the road. When checking at Wally-World, don't just look in the toy dept. I found the blinking DOC keychains in the boys dept, where they sell superman, spiderman and CARS underwear for little kids! The light up Ink Pens were in the checkout lane with a display of Looney Tunes Pens

Slot car set? That sounds cool. I have a large collection of old AFX Aurora slot cars. I'm always looking for new ones to add.
Is this actually an AC powered HO scale set, or the larger battery powered one?
Matt0 -
Here are a few Pics of my stuff (I hope)http://groups.msn.com/HudsonEssexTerraplaneBulletinBoard/doctoys.msnw
Okay Just go to the link until I figure out how to post the pictures
Sorry Bob0 -
You got me beat BJ. I would love to come across some of the stuff you have there. No die cast anything found out here yet. No puzzle, cap or T-Shirts. We don't have BP's here or Wally Worlds. As for the slot car set, I haven't opened the box. Everything so far is still in its factory packaging. It requires D batteries if that helps any. Picked it up at Toys R Us. They are big out here but have no idea if they are in any other state.0

Matt,
It's cool looking, with tan colored track (for dirt track racing) and dioramas of the other cars watching the race. They even painted the cars to make them look like they have mud splashed on the sides. My only beef is that it's battery powered and kind of weak. I wish I still had my old Aurora set - I'd switch the bodies over to my fastest cars and have a blast.
