So where are the Doc toys?

I made an adapter with my old AFX transformer and it works fine with the track, they do fly. For some reason Doc is slower but Lightening flys off of the track so Doc always wins anyway. Must be designed to do that. They are different wheelbases, that may be why. We have a lot of fun with ours in my store.

I was in the Mall this afternoon doing some Christmas shopping, and I noticed a "Cars" calendar in one of the bookstores and in one of the kiosks in the center court that sells only Calendars this time of year. Each month features a specific character, and Doc is the feature car for, I believe, November.0

I'm jazzed. One of the guys in my department at work came across a die cast Doc and gave it to me for Christmas yesterday. Unfortunately I was looking at the back of the package and noticed they have one in full Marshall Teague dress. Now I got to have that one. Does the madness ever stop0

Not that this is terribly interesting but I was at Pep Boys today and got myself a Doc Hudson PEZ dispenser. It had Doc perched on top of where the candy comes out. Pretty neat, and the nice thing about PEZ is that if I elect to leave it in the package it'll still be eatible after a nuclear disaster. LOL0

there's another new 'doc' out there. this one is decked out in the 'fabulous' paint scheme with the red rims.0

I was just at The House of Mouse (Disney World). I was greatly disappointed. They did not ahve ANY Doc toys out. I had to ask. They also did not ahve any Doc "tattoos," watch art, art posters, or anything else that could have had Doc involved. Plenty of McQueen and Mater, and the other towns folk.
This made me so mad I complained to Disney management. I got a sincere "I am sorry" from the person as it really was not their job to make the toy decision.0 -

We just bought a few more of the small metal cars at Kaybee's for $3.99 each, but you get one free Cars toy for everyone you buy (2 for 1). Unfortunately, I think the Cars mania is getting pretty well done now, at least from the consumption end. But at least the toys are getting cheaper. Were going to get the "Mack" truck set and the extra free one for a friend's boy this weekend. I just didn't get all the cars (still missing Flo) and those probably will get a bit more expensive when eBay is the only place to buy left.0 -
There is plenty of doc cars down under, my collection now is 10 stock doc's and 4 Fabulous doc's. These mostly come from Kmart. Just came back from Sydney last night, i could have easily bought another 10 of each. these are usually $9 aus each. I have yet to see Doc with the red rims. I will continue to collect the doc when they are on special. My kids now have 30 odd different variations on the CARS diecast cars. recently at a swap meet a model toy shop was selling them from $9 for lizzie to $39 for the King. Ebay Australia people are starting to spend stupid money on these. By the looks of things the diecast stuff is here to stay as new series are being released every 6 months since the movie came out. Having 30 variations, their is at least 10 others the kids are yet to collect. It's hard to keep up.
Regards from down under.
PS... Just came back from my brothers wedding, it was almost an all Hudson wedding. More details later on this.0
