The 1920s Hudsons had the coil mounted on the end of the motor, close to the radiator. Another option for the 1934 cars and any with overheating problems. Here are some coils few have seen - 2 of them insulated.0

Thanks both. There's no room to move the coil further away under the hood. So I'll look into moving behind the dash. Insulating the coil is another possibility. Another thing that might help, I understand, is to replace the plugs.0

I simply reversed it inside using the same mounting holes in the bulkhead - just as the previous owner had done (see my earlier comment).0
