Would you be interested in some type of trade? I have a 1920 Elgin Touring Car for your consideration.

  The Elgin car had no financial affiliation/ties to the Elgin Watch Company in Elgin IL, however it was some executives from the watch company that decided to try their hand in the automobile industry. Because of their common ties to the watch company they decided to name the car Elgin. They also used two slogans to tie back to the watch company, “The Car of The Hour” and “Runs Like A Watch”. They were produced from 1916 to 1922 in Argo IL (suburb of Chicago) and then production was moved to Indianapolis IN for 1923 & 1924 before going out of business. Out of all of the years that they were made, there are less than 8 Elgin’s known to be left, and of those remaining, mine is the only one to have disc wheels versus wooden spoke wheels (disc were an upgrade).

Elgin used a Fall engine which was out of Sheboygan WI. Several auto manufacturers used Falls, as many manufacturers used Continental.
