let me say first- i am not on anyones side.i only know one other person on this board personally i am a long way away from most of you and i am just gonna call it how i see it. gearhead its worth a shot putting the car up here, it may just be the sort of thing somebody is looking for. how often do we see someone offering their driveline up for sale because they want to re power their car? this thing would save some work in ripping it all out. when i first bought my car i didn't really give a damn how original it was. i just wanted the car. i had no idea which way i was going to go with it at the time, so i bought it. then a couple of months later a much more original-driveline wise at least- car showed up for similar money. if id known about that one i would of held out for it but since i dont have a crystal ball to see into the future i went with what was on offer at the time. somebody out there will like the car for what it is at some point- a start. hes just trying to sell what hes got. let the buyer decide what direction to take the car and whether they can take on the repairs and chasing parts themselves. sure those more experienced with the details of each particular hudson model will see more wrong than others but thats no reason to get uppity about the state of a car. like i said at the start, just calling it how i see it.0

Im new to Hudsons ,at least lately , My Dad loved and drove them , his last car was a 53 Hornet Club Coupe that he Chry. powered back in the late 50s. Ive been doing the over priced 68-70 Mopars for many years , like some of you guys I got into them years ago when they were cheap . I always had a Hudson coupe on my mind though .
I rather like Gearheads coupe , its not for purests maybe , but could look pretty stock if painted right .Im not a purest so it would work for me - yes Id rather it had its chrome still, too. distance is the killer for a deal on it for me, the price - thats up to the buyer and seller , he can price it at what he will let it go for . I think some replys on this post are awful rude .0 -

I think this car should be old school.... early Olds V8 (394?) tri-power and Hydro. You wouldn't need A/C if it has enough rust.... I'm just joking Gearhead (about the rust) Seeing as how my Hudson is a 4dr. I would take a look at this coupe if I was in the right part of the country.
I was thinking 303 or 324... :cool:0 -

Stateline, welcome to the Thunderdome... :eek:0 -
It doesn't look too far gone. I'd definitely go with the non-Hudson drivetrain and put an interior in it - what's there isn't good at all inside, IMO. Would make a neat beater ride.0

Hudson kid , thanks for the welcome ( Thunder Dome isnt a bad nick -name !!!) This site has given me alot of imformation in a short order - and I really appreciate it . If I can ask a question here ? will the front fenders and other body parts off a Pace Maker fit the other Hudsons ( talking the step down bodys ) Thanks Don0

pacemaker is short wheelbase. The front fenders will *fit* a wasp, super wasp, or other pacemaker, that's it.
The other cars are long wheelbase cars and those front fenders will interchange, of course with some differences... super/commodore/hornet/hornet special0
