Heater fan question

For my 54 Hornet Special, is there a source for a replacement heater fan or a place they can be sent to be repaired? Obviously mine does not work.

Thanks,

Doug

    Hello,

Yes there are 12 volt replacement fans available, take your old one and measure the mounting screw spacing and length, you should fit one with a shaft the same diameter, but the shaft will probably be just a bit too long, I simply cut the excess off with an air cutoff, or you could use a hacksaw, but be sure to deburr the cut end of the shaft before fitting the fan back over it. mine was a 4 Seasons motor, I lost the box with the part number on it. I did find the one I have by comparing my old motor to ones listed in the 4 Seasons catalogue. Hope this helps.

How about some contact information for 4 seasons. email, telephone number ect..

    Thanks,

There is a 12 volt motor that is almost correct, but the shaft diameter is 5/16 instead of 1/4. It's from a 1965 Ford F100 pickup. NAPA 6551020 or 4 seasons 35504.

Well, according to NAPA's on-line catalog 6551020 is a good number and is for a '65 Ford F-100 pickup. May need to put BK in front of number. See link.
