so with twin h and 2 wa1 carbs.....which metering rod tool does one need? and would it be a good idea to get one of those vacuum tools as well that you set on top of the carb.0

You have to refer to the Carter rebuild sheets for the carbs you are running. They will give you the number of the gauges you need. And yes a Unisync is good to have when balancing the carbs.0

Jim - I've been following this thread from the start, The metering rod gauge for a Hudson WA1 Carter is #T109-102. I will make you one for $25.00 plus $4.00 shipping. Norm. (909) 984 55440

This thread is an oldie but a goodie on Carter WA-1 carburetors.
My question is this. What special tools do I need. It sounds like I will need a metering rod, but is there anything else besides the rebuild kit and the metering rod?
Anything else I would do while rebuilding the carbs such as paint them or something?
This will be a winter project, so I have some time.0
