oldhudsons wrote:That done, will send some scans & brief histories of a few Italias. At one time most of the known Italias were in the L. A. metro area.
Got the Italia up as best I could Pete. here's the url again, and thanks for the very interesting history you sent along with it !!
Its really neat to be able to look back and "see" what was, and what happened because of it.

You have the photo of Freddie's Italia posted but not the one of Herb's yet although the text that went with it is there.
No problemo, no hurry, LOL.0 -
That's too bad about that woody wagon. There's still enough wood there to make new patterns, though. This one should be restored! Wish I had it. What a cool lookin' woody.0
-
OK, enough Italias as only others I have are small B & Ws which don't seem to do well.
Sending one of a very rare '51 C6 conv., stick shift, no o.d., a most unusual combo.
Belongs to "old timer" HET member Gary Klann.0 -
I believe that Eldon did in fact do as you suggested - when creating the his C8 station wagon he used the "Death Valley" wagon for patterns.0

Just sent Ryan 3 pics of a super rare '38 Hudson Terraplane panel delivery in tatty but original condition. A panel delivery falls into the category of a proverbial "needle in a haystack"!
Perhaps as an adjunct to these pics will send him tomorrow a factory photo of one of these.0 -
I would like to see the photos of "Perry Spring's" woody wagon. You mentioned it as a 41', that's not his, his is a yellow 42 with about a roll and a half of duct tape holding it together. It's different then the other 42's, the tops of the doors for one thing and a few other things that I can't remember right now. By the way, it's still untouched in a garage in Southern California.0
-
OK, will get at that later today. I have I believe 4 pics of it.
I'm sure it's his as he told me he'd gotten it out of a Tucson junkyard & that is where I took the pics, however I may have been wrong about the year - I'll "eyeball" the pics very carefully with a viewer.0 -
Bentmetal - here are the 4 photos of the Tucson junkyard "woody" & from the grille you can tell it is definitely a '41.0
-
since they didn't show up here, will send them to Ryan - sorry!:(0

one more try0

If you upsize the original three pics of this great vehicle, Pete, and re-send them, I'll add them to the post as well.
Thanks0 -

Okay, that's not Perry Spring's 1942. His ain't that bad and like you said, those pictures are of a 1941.0 -
Bentmetal - OK, I sent these to them to see if that is their's. If not, hmmmm, wonder what happened to it as can't imagine the junkyard is still there as think I took the photos in '67.0

Pete sent me a really great picture of his '35 Railton last evening.
Check it out at http://www.hudsoncollector.com/forums_viewtopic.php?23.7350 -
Just sent Ryan pics of a Hudson part, not of a vehicle, LOL. I think some of you may enjoy seeing it & hope it will post well.
It reminds me of a famous Death Valley miner who's monicker was "Seldom Seen Slim", and that's what this is, a 2 piece high compression head offered in '34-5. This is the only one I recall ever having seen.
On the lower head is a plate riveted to the side saying "USE FUEL OF HIGH OCTANE RATING".0 -
Pete-
Make sure you don't finalize a deal on that '38 Panel Delivery until you are sure the love seat in the back of the truck is included in the deal.;) That's the "real" find here, you know.:D0 -

Bent Metal-
You wouldn't happen to have a picture of Perry Spring's '42, would you?:cool:0 -
Russell - LOL on the "love seat", sorta like a rumble seat for a panel delivery~0

A really nice '38 Terraplane pickup ! ( pictures courtesy of Pete ("OLDHUDSONS")

A very rare two piece head, available in '34, or '35.

Great Ryan, photos came out super!
I forwarded the photos to the Editor of the ROC publication as I understand these heads came on some Railtons. He responded saying he too has seen but one of them & it was in use on a Railton.
I wonder how much these raised the compression?0 -
Here's a really rare '51 Convertible,

Pete-
Check your PM's when you get a chance.
Thanks!0 -
A picture of an original hudson dealership sign, for those who like memorabilia, and want to know exactly how they "made 'em", and "displayed 'em".

Cool sign, wouldn't happen to have anymore "in the box", would 'ya?:D0 -
As an adjunct to the sign story, we filled our '63 Stude. Lark V8 baby blue wagon "to the gunwales" with new chrome, NOT just the sign, LOL!
"Those were the days my friend" etc., etc.0
