    Pete:

RE: the '38 panel, do I correctly presume that you've been negotiating all these years with a "gunner", as Geoff Clark calls them? ("Ain't interested in selling. I'm GUNNER fix 'er up some day" -- as it continues to rust away in the 'back forty'....)?

If you upsize the original three pics of this great vehicle, Pete, and re-send them, I'll add them to the post as well.

    Thanks

Have added an additional picture to this thread. Sorry Pete, it got lost in the confusion for a bit there, but here it is now.

Absolutely "right on" description of owner! Car not even on his property all these years!

Property owner is now quite old & owner of panel no "spring chicken" either, LOL!
  • Ever see a set of '33 Terraplane sidemount holddown bars ??

Me either, -- until Pete (" OLDHUDSONS"), sent in this picture of them.

Thanks Pete, maybe I'll know what I'm looking at if there's another set left in the world somewhere ! :-)

Very similar and same principle, at least of the '36's that I've seen. Notice that when you crank on the hex-head end, (with the tire iron, I presume), the action raises the spare up and out of the fender, so that one only need slip the wheel off of the mount as opposed to lifting the wheel up and out of the fender.
