Enclosed is rare Proof that Hudson Motor Car was the very first Auto Manufacturer to directly support NASCAR Racing to help sell Cars.. (Note Person's Signature) (As it turned out that Hudson (race) Engineer Vince Piggins later went to Chevy to help their high performance development (ie) Power Pack, Z28, etc)...(Things that went well in Hudson's Race program)...
...
Note: Severe Usage Parts Approval shipped to Marshall Teague and the New Car Approval for Frank Mundy with the special Options..
(Later I will Post a Document revealing the Monthly 'Race Expense' Check to a Driver)....

Aerodynamics. I actually saw a program which discussed the evolution of aerodynamics in nascar they had some short but good 50's footage of Hornets. One aspect they mentioned of the 50's was realization of little things like taping the headlights made a big difference over the length of a race.0 -
FYI
Enclosed copy of Letter from Hudson Motor Car 10/13/1954 to Herb Thomas that came with a $1000 Hudson Check for just Winning the Darlington Race.(Apparently Hudson subsidised 'key' Drivers when they Won)
Letter mentions Herb in a Saturday Evening Post Ad, (a popular Advertising Venue in that Period), and implied that Hudson was becoming 'out classed' until engineering could come up with 'something'...
Letter also mention Herb would be in their 1955 Plans.... However the impending Company consolidation changed destiny. [Herb Thomas last raced a Hudson in Feb 1955)[/U]...
